Farah Tahoor Art
My passion project, Farah Tahoor Art, started on the brink of COVID-19. Right after graduation, I put my heart and mind into following my dreams and set out to launch my painting and abstract art venture which launched in January 2022, named after myself.
COVID-19 Masks Campaign
In light of COVID-19 and mask protocol, I launched an “Abstract Mask” campaign collaborating with a local makeup artist, Amyna’s Touch. The campaign included vibrant abstract art on cotton masks using raw brush strokes to bring some life, color, and energy to the gloomy lockdown times and help people express themselves through bold designs and color. Holographic makeup with graphic eyeliner was used to compliment the feel of the campaign and pull the look together.
The masks were sold as part of my exhibition at West Elm, Bahrain.
Exhibition at West Elm, Bahrain
I displayed my artwork at West Elm Bahrain as their local featured artist of the month. Through the event, I got to meet wonderful people, speak to them about art, and answer their questions about my creative process and techniques. The exhibition concluded with multiple sales and commissions.
